Robin Gayle

Robin Gayle Wright was the daughter of Gayle (Gaston), Director of the national office at Mary Kay and Freddie Wright, a pharmacist executive. She was born and raised in San Diego. She began her professional career at the age of 14 as a model. She has worked both in Paris, Japan and Paris. When she graduated from high school she began acting. She was cast in the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984), for which she was nominated three times for a Daytime Emmy. In the initial season of the show she was in love with co-star Dane Witherspoon, whom she got married in 1986. In addition, she appeared in The Princess Bride (1987) playing the title character. After being let go of the cast of Santa Barbara, she got the role of the main character in Denial (1990) alongside Jason Patric. She got to know Sean Penn in 1990 while she was in State of Grace (1990). They had a daughter Dylan Frances with him and an infant son called Hopper Jack. Robin returned to Hollywood after a long absence with one of her most memorable parts: Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was an amazing actress and was a fantastic performer. She starred in Toys (1992) in the comedy featuring Robin Williams. It was an extremely funny performance. Wright appeared in 1994's blockbuster success Forrest Gump (1994) with Tom Hanks. She received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award in recognition of her performance in the film as Jenny. She got a small role in The Crossing Guard (1995) in which she starred Jack Nicholson. After being rejected for 14 roles, she finally got the main role played by MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996). Pen Densham directed her and Stockard Channing acted. Then, she starred in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997) along with William Hurt.
