Natasha Henstridge
Natasha Tonya
Henstridge (born August 15th 1974) is a Canadian actress and model. Her first
role in the science-fiction thriller Species was her breakthrough. She then
starred in Species II (2001-2004), and Species III (2002-2004). She has
appeared in several television series and films, including Maximum Risk (1996).
The Whole Nine Yards, The Whole Ten Yards (2004). Ghosts of Mars (2002). She
Spies (2002-04), Eli Stone (2008-2009) and Would Be Kings (2008). For her performance
in the last one, she was given the Gemini Award to Best Actress. She is a star
in the CBC Television Series Diggstown. Henstridge was born in Springdale,
Newfoundland and Labrador native. She was born to Helen Henstridge (a
homemaker) and Brian Henstridge (a construction manager and businessman). She
was raised in Fort McMurray with her younger brother Shane. Henstridge was 14
when she was born, entered the Casablanca Modeling Agency’s Look of the Year
contest. He was the first runner–up. The next year, she moved to Paris to
explore her modeling dreams. At 15 years old she was included in Cosmopolitan's
French issue. Henstridge was featured on several magazines covers later, and
then she began to appear in commercials on TV for products such as Olay (Old
Spice), Lady Stetson (Lady Stetson) and others. After her modeling career was
established, Henstridge began doing commercials but ultimately decided acting
was her passion the most.
