Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian singer and actor from Canada. Most well-known for her roles in American television shows Law & Order (where she played Claire Kincaid, a prosecutor) and Crossing Jordan (where she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons). She was also in films such as RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and in independent films Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The film was written and directed by her. Hennessy was born in Edmonton. Her father, John Hennessy, was an animal salesman and a sales/marketing executive. It was a job that required considerable travel and resulted in frequent moves for the entire family. Her mother, Maxine, a secretary, left the family in 1982 leaving her daughter to be raised by her maternal grandmother, Eleanor who lives located in Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister and is a writer for a Canadian magazine and host. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian origins from her father's side as well as mostly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy was the sister of her brother who made their acting debut in 1988 when they were twin call-girls in the TV show Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress chosen to play the role, said she was selected to be the character Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role lasted three seasons. She left the show in 1996.
