Melanie Jayne Lynskey

Melanie Jayne Lynskey was born 16 May 1977 in New Zealand. She is known for her distinctive voice, which is soft and confident. She is primarily involved in independent films. She's been honored with an New Zealand Film Award as well as a Hollywood Film Award as well as an Sundance Special Jury Award. Lynskey's first film role was an teen killer in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures (1994). After moving to the United States, she built an impressive career as a supporting actor in various small- and big-budget films, such as Ever After (1998), Detroit Rock City, But I'm a Cheerleader (both 1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), Abandon, Sweet Home Alabama (both 2002), Shattered Glass (2003), Flags of Our Fathers (2006), Away We Go, Up in the Air The Informant!
