Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress from the United States. She is most well-known for her roles on American daytime TV, episodic guest appearances and made-for-television films. Sofer has won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her performance as Lois Cerullo on the soap show General Hospital. She has been acting as Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS The Bold and the Beautiful, a soap drama The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor as well as Martin Sofer, a Conservative rabbi. After her parents divorced and her family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer emigrated with her brother David and her father to Teaneck in New Jersey. They lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey, where her father was rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen High School she was a student at Montclair State College. Sofer began her career as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she was an administrator of a band. Her first role on television was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap opera host. Perhaps her most well-known role is Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15 from 1993 until September 24, 1996. Later she returned to the series as a guest-star (February 7, 1997 - September 30, 1997; October 2, 1997 October 2, 1997 - October 2, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series for her performance in the role of Lois. In May 2013 it was announced that Sofer will be joining the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful and play the newly-created role of Quinn Fuller; her first episode aired on the 12th of July. Sofer has been a supporting cast member or guest star in a number of high-profile primetime television shows, such as Seinfeld and Melrose Place. The premiere episode debuted on July 12.
