Renee Kathleen Zellweger

Renee Kathleen Zellweger, was born in Katy, Texas on April 25 of 1969. Her mother, Kjellfrid (Andreassen) is an ex-nurse and midwife born in Norway. Kven (Finnish), and also has Swedish as well as Norwegian descent. Emil Erich Zellweger, her father, is a Swiss-born engineer. They were married in the year 1963. Drew Zellweger is Renee's brother, and he was born February 15, 1967. While working in the drama club, Renee became interested in acting. She also took an acting course at the University of Texas (Austin) in Austin, and then began looking for a profession in acting. She was determined to perform after graduation, but Hollywood isn't easy to break into. Renee decided not to quit Texas and auditioned at Houston to be cast in roles. While on the set for the sequel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994) she met Matthew McConaughey, another Hollywood newcomer. Renee observed him on a project that interested her. She auditioned and was awarded the role in Love and A.45 (1994). The film brought her critical acclaim to decide to move to Los Angeles. Then she was offered a role in The Whole Wide World (1996) that gave her the first major break. Cameron Crowe was busy casting Jerry Maguire (1996) which starred Tom Cruise. Crowe was thinking about actresses like Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder) and Marisa Tomei. He saw Zellweger's performance in The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was confident that she was the perfect Dorothy Boyd. Renee was able to continue her huge success in small independent films. She received further praise from critics, and was confident enough that she was in a position to return to large-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep was a co-star in One True Thing (1998). She also starred alongside Jim Carrey in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) and began dating Carrey shortly thereafter. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
