Rose McGowan

"Rose" McGowan (born on the 5th of September 1973) is an American
actress and activist. McGowan's debut film appearance was in the comedic Encino
Man (1992), however, she received more attention due to her part in The Doom
Generation (1995) which earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination as
Best Debut Performance. Her first big role came in the horror film Scream in
the year 1996. She then headlined the films Jawbreaker (1999) as well as Devil
in the Flesh (2000). During the 2000s, McGowan became known to television
audiences for her role in the role of Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural
drama series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan was also a star in Quentin Tarantino
and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007), for which she was
nominated for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and for the Scream Award as Best
Scream Queen. She was featured in the action-thriller series Chosen (2014) and
released her debut studio album, Planet 9, in 2018. The album was followed by a
new album in 2020. In 2017, Time acknowledged McGowan as one of the Silence
Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year for speaking out against sexual
assault and harassment, specifically in regard to the Harvey Weinstein sexual
abuse cases as well as the Me Too movement. Brave is her autobiography. Citizen
Rose was her documentary series. Both were released in 2018.
